Niyah Alyse Ferdinand celebrated her first birthday on Dec.4. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. James Ferdinand Jr., nee Natasha Pickney, of St. Martinville. Her grandparents are Harold Pickney Sr. and Theresa Lewis Pickney, both of St. Martinville; and James Ferdinand Sr. of Houston and Lula Trahan of Lafayette.
