Last weekend i was preparing to pull out of Bee and Lo’s Trailer park on Cypress Island Highway, when i witnessed a young woman in a gray car swerve into the other lane and almost hit another vehicle. I waited till the gray car passed me before i pulled on to the main road. While following this woman, I witness her driving on the shoulder of the road a number of times, and also driving in the opposite lane and running people off the road. My husband called 911. I clearly thought this woman was going to kill herself of someone else. While my husband was on the phone with 911 we witness this car hit the guardrail on the coulee bridge. Upon approaching the 4 way stop at the intersection of Cypress Island and Capritto cutoff, this woman didn’t even slow down, just barreled straight through the intersection. I kept wondering, was this person drunk? Was she texting? Was she falling asleep at the wheel? When we approached the red light, she went through it, then stopped and backed up. My husband is still on the phone with the sheriffs. We follow her as she turns in to Cades Parking lot. Waited for the police to show up. I spoke with the officer and explained what we witnessed. When this woman got out of her vehicle she held on to the car for support. About 30 minutes later, my husband saw the car drive away. If anyone reads this and also witnessed this car, please post something. I had 5 children with me when i witnessed this. I keep wondering, what would have happened had i pulled out in front of her instead of letting her go by? Would she have plowed into the back of my vehicle at the 4 way stop that she didn’t stop for or even slow down for. I think this persons drivers licence should have been taken away. What do you think?
