Catahoula – A Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at St. Rita Catholic Church for Willis Joseph Boudreaux, 80, who passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2012.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Dion Hall in Catahoula from 7 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

Fr. Richard Fabre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Reading the scriptures will be Lanie and Angelique Boudreaux. Gift bearers will be Courtney Boudreaux, Cassie Babin and Kimberly Gardemal.

Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery.

Mr. Boudreaux loved cooking for his family every Sunday and at holiday times. He also enjoyed being outside working in his garden and cutting his grass. He also volunteered at the Catahoula Fair helping to raise thousands of dollars for people in need. He never said “no” to anyone.

He is survived by his sons, Randy (fiancee-Sheila) Boudreaux of New Iberia and Jeff (Charlene) Boudreaux of Catahoula; his daughters, Teena (Ricky) Verret of Catahoula and Pennie (Dean) Babin of Broussard; his brothers, Shirlis (Muneera) Boudreaux, Curtis Boudreaux and Ronald Boudreaux of Catahoula; his sisters, Ledwin “Din” Bonin of St. Martinville, Lovell Devillier of Catahoula and Glenda (Elmer Ray) Delauney of Parks; his grandchildren, Kimberly and Chris Gardemal, Jacob and Angelique Boudreaux, Lanie and Courtney Boudreaux, Hailey and David Whitney, Bryce Verret, Drake and Cassie Babin; ans his great-grandchildren, Eann and Mason Gardemal, Addison Dupuis, Rylie and Reece Boudreaux and Wyatt Whitney.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Elise Latiolais Boudreaux; his parents, Antoine and Jeanne Cormier Boudreaux; his sister, Lunez Dore; and his great-grandchildren, Skye and Dylan Gardemal.

Pallbearers will be Randy Boudreaux, Jeff Boudreaux, Jacob Boudreaux, Bryce Verret, Drake Babin and Ronald Boudreaux.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Verret, Dean Babin, David Whitney and Chris Gardemal.

The family wishes to thank M.D. Anderson Hospital, Dr. Deborah Johnson and staff, Lafayette General Medical Center 9th floor staff, Heart of Hospice and Leading Healthcare for the care and compassion given to Mr. Boudreaux .
