Arnaudville – The St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office issued an arrest warrant on a charge of simple burglary for Joseph J. Mouton 50, of Arnaudville, in connection with the June 14 burglary of Guidry’s Food Store.

Mouton, was already in the Arnaudville City Jail on unrelated charges.

According to investigators, Mouton was observed on security video entering the front doors of the business after shattering the glass. They said Mouton then left the store after taking what appeared to be a bottle of whiskey.
