Mr. Duplechin worked in the chemical plant industry for 25 years as an insulator. In his free time, he enjoyed being around horses and dogs.
Mr. Duplechin, a native of Cecilia and a resident of Breaux Bridge, was the son of Alex and Mabel Latiolais Duplechin, both of Cecilia. He was born February 28, 1945. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Madeline Wiltz Duplechin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and his wife, Lloyd Joseph Duplechin and Mildred Jean Lalonde; and one sister, Mrs. Regis Mouton, the former Vesta Marie Duplechin; his paternal grandparents, Michel and Ophelia Guidry; and his maternal grandparents, Olivier and Marie Guidry Latiolais.
As per his request, his body will be cremated and no funeral service will be observed.
