According to State Police, Joel Gamble, 41, of Conroe was east-bound when he exited at Mile Post 72 (Eagan exit) and failed to negotiate the curve leading to Bocage Road.
The vehicle left the road way, passed through a grassy area and slammed into a tree about 2 a.m.
