The free training will prepare individuals in the community to become severe weather “Storm Spotters.” They will be able to identify and explain weather conditions to weather service professionals and enhance the severe weather warning system.
The program is voluntary and covers the basics of thunderstorm development, fundamentals of storm structure, identifying potential severe weather features, information to report, how to report information and basic severe weather safety.
Anyone interested in learning how to assist with reporting severe weather to St. Martin OHSEP and the National Weather Service should attend this training.
