Henderson – Russel Joseph Robin (Paca), a lifelong resident of Henderson, La., was called home Monday, September 13, 2010, at the age of 70 years.

Born July 1st, 1940, he was the second son born to Clifton Robin and Eve Guilbeau Robin, both of whom preceded him in death. Outside of his family, he loved the outdoors, and hunting and fishing were his passions. Russell loved the outdoors to such degree, he made a lifelong career as a commercial fisherman and trapper. He knew no enemies and celebrated life every day. The work ethic and moral values he mentored through his life and actions will continue to inspire those of us who knew and loved him for the rest of our lives.

Russell is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Peggy Doucet Robin; his daughter, Arlene Robin Potter and her husband Michael Potter of Henderson; his sons, Bowen Robin of Henderson, James Robin and his wife Nannette Carlin Robin of Milton, and Keith Robin and his wife Cara Foster Robin of Henderson; his brothers, Roy Robin and his wife Nettie Robin of Grand Anse, Rodney Robin and his wife Mary Robin of Grand Anse, Ronald (Ron) Robin and his wife Gail Robin of Henderson, and Raymond (Ray) Robin and his wife Annie Robin of Henderson. He is also survived by those who called him “Pop,” namely his grandchildren, Derick Robin and his wife Tammy Robin of Arnaudville, Anson Robin, Phallon Robin, Mason Robin, Zachary Robin, Alexander Robin, Nicholas Robin, Courtney Robin and Gabriel Robin; his great-grandchildren, Blace Hayes, Felicity Robin, Alysa Robin, Anson Robin Jr., Haylee Robin, Taylor Rials, Gage Richard and Gavin Robin; and one other special child who captured his heart, namely Sage Perez.
