REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF HENDERSON November 8,2010

The Regular Meeting for the Town of Henderson, a Louisiana Municipal Corporation was called to order by Mayor Sherbin Collette on November 8, 2010, at its legal domicile in Henderson, at 7:00 P. M. as per public notice of said meeting, with a quorum of Council members present.

The Invocation was read by Sue Dupuis, Clerk, Henderson, Louisiana.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Sherbin Collette.

Roll Call of the Town Council:

Jody Meche - Present Don LeGrand - Present Ray Robin - Present Samantha LeBlanc - Present Michael Theriot - Present

Upon motion of Don LeGrand, duly seconded by Samantha LeBlanc, the motion carried to approve the minutes of the October 11, 2010 Regular Meeting.

Attorney Jerry Mallet was present but had no business to discuss.

Councilman Ray Robin informed the Mayor and Town Council that one of the Certificates of Deposit (CD) had matured and that it was time to reinvest.

Upon motion of Don LeGrand, duly seconded by Jody Meche, the motion carried to reinvest the Certificate of Deposit (CD).

Upon motion of Jody Meche, duly seconded by Don LeGrand, the motion carried to approve the Financial Reports of Funds read by Town Clerk, Sue Dupuis, for the period 10/112010 to 10/3112010.

Upon motion of Don LeGrand, duly seconded by Michael Theriot, the motion carried to place Councilman Ray Robin on the agenda.

Councilman Ray Robin informed the Mayor and Town Council that he wanted to introduce a resolution giving the Mayor the authority to reinvest the Certificates of Deposit (CD) when they mature.

Upon motion of Ray Robin, duly seconded by Don LeGrand, the motion carried to prepare a resolution authorizing the Mayor to reinvest the Certificates of Deposit (CD). The resolution will be introduced and adopted at the next Town Council meeting.

There was no old business to discuss.

There was no new business to discuss.

Chief Leroy Guidry of the Henderson Police Department was present and had no police business to discuss.

Street Commissioner Don LeGrand was present and had no business to discuss.

Park Commissioner Mark Blanchard was absent. Mayor Sherbin Collette informed the Town Council that he wants to get one or two loads of limestone to put at the back of the park on the turn-a-round and he will use his discretion on how many loads he will need.

There being no further business to discuss, upon motion by Ray Robin, duly seconded by Don LeGrand, the motion carried to adjourn the meeting.
