By virtue of and in conformity with the provisions of Louisiana Revised Statutes 41:1211, et seq., sealed bids will be accepted on or before the 8th day of February, 2011, at eleven o’clock a.m., for the sole purpose of constructing and maintaining a single habitable structure on the following described tract in St. Martin Parish, Louisiana, to‑wit:

A certain tract of State owned land identified as Campsite Lot No. 7, Area A, Lake Chicot Channel Area, located in the former bed of Lake Chicot in front of Section 18, T11S, R10E, Louisiana Meridian and more fully shown on a plat(s) filed in the State Land Office.

NOTE: Situated on this lot are improvements appraised at $500.00.

All bids must be forwarded by United States Mail to the State Land Office, Post Office Box 44124, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 70804 or delivered to 1201 North Third Street, Suite G-150. Each bid must be accompanied by two separate checks or money orders payable to the State Land Office for:

Check No. 1) Five Hundred and 00/100---($500.00)--Dollars that being the full amount of the purchase price of the improvements for whatever rights, title and interest the State of Louisiana has in and to the subject improvements; and

Check No. 2) full amount of the first year’s rental of the lot of not less than Three Hundred Sixty and 00/100‑‑($360.00)‑‑Dollars per year for a term of ten (10) years.

The word BID and the DATE the bids are to be opened should be written on the outside of the envelope containing your bids so that it will not be opened with the regular mail.

The failure of the tenant to pay the rent punctually, or before the date upon which said rental shall fall due, shall ipso facto and without demand or putting in default terminate and cancel said lease.

The awarding of this lease will be based on the highest bid for the rental plus the receipt of the Five Hundred and 00/100--($500.00)--Dollars for the improvements. Upon awarding the lease, lessee will receive a Quitclaim Deed for the subject improvements.

THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL BIDS IS RESERVED.
