Lafayette – A Memorial Service was held on Friday, May 11, 2012, at 12 p.m. in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Martin A. LeVasseur, 56, who died on Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Lafayette General Medical Center. Deacon Marcel “Butch” Hebert conducted the Memorial Service.

Survivors include one son, Casey Theriot of Lafayette; one sister, Jeanine LeBlanc and her husband Robert of Lafayette; and four brothers, Donald LeVasseur and his wife Kathy of Breaux Bridge, Kirk “Doc” LeVasseur and his wife Terri of Breaux Bridge, John LeVasseur and his wife Jane of Lafayette and Jerry LeVasseur and his wife Sharon of Lafayette; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Donald LeVasseur and Theresa Angelette LeVasseur.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marty’s name to the Ragin Cajuns Athletic Foundation, 201 Reinhardt Dr., Lafayette, LA 70506.
