Man pleads guilty to machine gun charges, sentencing pending

LAFAYETTE – Sentencing is pending for a Sunset man who had several machine guns in his home.

Robertr W. Guilbeau, 63, pleaded guilty this month to having the unregistered guns.

He’s charged with Possession of Unregistered Firearms and faces ten years in prison.

Machine guns are supposed be registered in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record.
