Breaux Bridge – Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel for Leland Phillip Castille, 89, who passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2012.

Rev. Donald Pousson will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2.

Mr. Castille was a veteran of World War II, having honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a welder by trade, who in his free time had a passion for gardening. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion in Parks.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Yola Frederick Castille of Parks; his son, Philip Castille and his wife Cindy of Parks; three daughters, Faye Blanchard and her husband Whitney of Breaux Bridge, Cheryl Landry and her husband Steve of China, Texas, and Pam Grossie and her husband Shane of Parks; two sisters, Annette Begnaud and Evelyn LeBlanc; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Zachery Julia Webre Castille; his brother, Ignace Castille; and two sisters, Inez Landry and Euline Dwyer.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Jake Melancon, Levi Grossie, Kristopher Castille, Leon Landry, Terence Landry, Nick Landry, Kip Landry and Zack Landry.

Honorary pallbearer will be Francis “Boy” Gallagher.

Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
