St. Martinville – Lynne Bonin discussed home landscape design at the St. Martinville garden club’s February meeting.

Bonin explained concepts and basic principles on how to make any area functional and beautiful.

A video was also presented, which focused on a strong design that defines space, focuses the eye and frames a view. It also noted to add a good dose of color for interest and emotional appeal, mix in attention to detail that reveals the owner’s personality, and top it off with plants and materials that suit the climate region.

Marian Eastin provided hot pepper seeds for the February plant/seed exchange.

The meeting was held at the St. Martinville library and was hosted by Eastin and presided over by Charmaine Savasten, club president.
