Lady Tigers fall to Ursuline in regional round

After breezing to a 5-2 win over Franklinton in the first round of the state Class 4A softball playoffs, the Lady Tigers of Breaux Bridge High School lost a 4-3 squeaker to No. 8 seeded Ursuline Academy of New Orleans in the regionals played on Saturday.

The loss ended Breaux Bridge’s season at 18-7.

District 6-4A champ Teurlings Catholic (26-4) won its regional game against Lutcher by 7-4 and is scheduled to play Grant (18-9) on Friday in the quarterfinals.
