Eunice dealer employee accused of 54 counts of motor fuel theft

A Eunice man is accused of finding a way around the high cost of fuel.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Detectives charged Scott Anthony Richard, 49, of 114 Country Pine Lane, with 54 counts of theft of motor vehicle fuel.

According to records, Richard is accused of stealing from his now-former employer Guillory Oil, which is located on East Ardoin Street.

The alleged thefts occurred between August 2010 and January 2011, records indicate.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, Richard is accused of stealing diesel fuel valued at $8,400 and gasoline valued at $1,680.
