Breaux Bridge – Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 16, 2010, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel for Denise Blanchard, 39, who passed away on Friday, August 13, 2010.

Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2.

Denise enjoyed reading, shopping, baking, hunting and playing with her puppy, Sasha. She also loved teaching religion at Christian Life Assembly and being a youth group sponsor. She will be deeply missed by all her family.

Survivors include her mother, Wanda Kilchrist and her husband Jim of Scott; her father, Dennis Hendrick of Clegg, Texas; her daughters, Kylie Johnson (Clay Bergeron) and Amber Blanchard, all of Breaux Bridge; her step daughters, Jill Blanchard of Breaux Bridge and Jana Blanchard of Arizona; her daughter-in-law, Becky Blanchard; her sister, Michelle Guidry of Cecilia and her grandchildren, Brooklyn Blanchard and Braelyn Blanchard.

She was preceded in death by her son, Brock Blanchard; her brother, Paul Dennis Hendrick; and her grandfathers, Clayvon Hebert and Paul Hendrick.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday.

Pallbearers were Tralyn Guidry, Tristan Guidry, Clay Bergeron, Nicholas Leger, Buddy Johnson and Jim Kilchrist.

Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
