Over the past nine years Chef Lewis has garnered much recognition from the Acadiana chapter of the American Culinary Federation by winning ten gold medals, two bronze medals and two People’s Choice awards. The team he coached in 2009 at the competition took home gold and silver medals.
The Shreveport chapter also recognized Chef Lewis with two third place Best of Show medals in 2007 and two gold medals in 2009.
His wide range of winning dishes include seafood entrees, vegetables, soup and poultry.
Crawfish Town owners Johnny and Wendy Hebert say Chef Lewis brings professionalism and experience to an already talented kitchen staff.
Lewis will also focus on expanding the catering side of the restaurant, specializing in boiled seafood, as well as the variety of menu selections available for catering including pastas, ribs, steaks and the Cajun food the restaurant is so well known for.
