St. Martinville – “Trimming Your Holiday Tree Naturally,” presented by Dale Mouton, was the topic of the November Garden Club meeting.

Mouton explained how people around the world decorate their trees, including the use of different indigenous materials.

The club also hosted their monthly seed and plant exchange. Marjorie Melancon shared pink amaryllis, and yellow and red Lycoris bulbs and hidden Ginger Lilies. Jessie Bienvenu share Wild Ageratum seeds that produce beautiful flat-topped clusters of small, soft-blue, fuzzy flowers.

The garden club is also excited about the upcoming annual Christmas Tour of Homes that will be on Sunday, Dec. 4. Tickets can be purchased for the event at the Duchamp Opera House, Shamrock Office Supply and Company Salon.
