There were more than eleven thousand supporters gathered at the Cajun Dome in Lafayette this week, trying to fight back the moratorium, which was created to order the oil drilling to be shut down in the Gulf of Mexico.
All of the people there would be affected by the moratorium, not to mention the many other thousands of those who would be affected by it who could not go to the rally.
Those who didn’t attend possibly did not have money for the voyage, and have not worked in a few months.
The entire country supports the offshore drilling, because we all need and depend on it for our livelihood.
It’s unimaginable the many ways this will adversely affect the entire country, with the hardest hit state being Louisiana.
Nothing good will come of this moratorium. It is so unfortunate. C’est pas bien faire sa à naute monde. God never sleeps! Elections in the fall!
Bonnie Latiolais is open for business with her Candy Bouquet boutique. Her bouquet arrangements are beautiful and of course made of delicious candy, the substitutes in place of flowers. She is running her business from home, and her website will be up soon. For now you can call 278-6837. She will be making deliveries.
This is the kind of business that can be operated from home and, with the internet to help pass the word, should have a big advantage.
I watched a man on TV yesterday showing his invented web cam idea on Facebook. Any where around the world you can communicate face to face with friends and relatives who have this same set up. It’s a little video camera that sits on top of a computer.
It’s the same thing with a cell phone’s video pictures; it’s a great way to sell your products via your cell phone. What a rapidly changing world! You’ve seen the cookie commercial with the son and dad at different ends of the world.
Gloria Simon proudly shows off her ten year pin for working at Walmart. That is one decade. She is such a pleasant lady; y’all say hey to her when she greets you at the entrance.
I’m still looking to take a computer course on web page building, not web site, only page building, to be put on a file and sent off to be put on a site.
My daughter installed the Microsoft FrontPage on my computer. I can play around with it, but I need one or two lessons to learn. I know I could learn, and I want to.
Hopefully, the couverture over my galerie will be completed this weekend.
Please believe this; un prière/chant for warts. It comes from the Indians, possible les Attakapa’s. Say this exact prayer for someone with warts: “In the name of the Father, Son & Holy Ghost, heal that wart (or those warts) on (person’s name) Holy Ghost, Son and Father.” Repeat this two more times.
I am a traiteuse and I get more calls for warts than anything else.
I want to help by giving the prayers. Take them!
I love Jimmie Dean’s sausage and croissant commercial. The one where the sun talks and the planets have little legs. I laugh at that one, because it reminds me of that saying of long ago; Josie finn, patte finn, tee ki kiss, gros ventre? That’s funny!
