Mr. and Mrs. Damien Guidry are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Christy Faye, to Bryce Anthony Melancon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Melancon of Coteau Holmes. They will be united in matrimony on Saturday, April 2, 2011, during a 7 p.m. ceremony at The Cade Community Center in St. Martinville. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Edward and Delores Breaux of Grand Coteau, Glenn Guidry of Breaux Bridge and the late Rita Guidry. The groom-elect is the grandson of Katherine Patin and Wiley Hayes Sr., both of Coteau Holmes; Barbara Dugas of Parks and the late Lawrence Melancon Sr. Christy is a 2004 graduate of Breaux Bridge High School and a 2010 graduate of Louisiana Technical College. She is employed with a pediatrician in Lafayette. Bryce is a 2005 graduate of St. Martinville High School and is currently employed by Gulf Crane Services. After the wedding, the couple will reside in Coteau Holmes.
