The Tigers followed the April 16 1-0 win over Teurlings with a 9-3 defeat of Cecilia on April 19. But the Beau Chene Gators came to Breaux Bridge last Thursday and played the spoiler, pulling off a 7-3 upset of the Tigers and raining on their Senior Night celebration.
The season finalé loss droped The Bridge’s district record to 10-2 while they finished the regular seaon at 18-11.
The Tigers now await the playoff seedings to see just where they will fall in the playoff bracket that will be released later this week.
Cecilia ended its season on a roll, topping St. Martinville on Thursday and edging Rayne Monday in a non-district season ender.
The Bulldogs finished at 12-17, 4-8.
There was no report on St. Martinville’s game against Northside early last week.
