Breaux Bridge’s Lady Tigers suffered their first district softball loss last week when they were defeated by Teurlings Catholic, 3-1. The Bridge had gotten off to a 4-0 start in league play before the loss.

Breaux Bridge got back on the winning track Thursday, posting a close 3-2 victory over Vermilion Catholic in non-district action. But there was no report on games played in the Catholic High-New Iberia tournament over the weekend.

In other action, Cecilia’s Lady Bulldogs claimed a lopsided 12-0 district win over Opelousas while St. Martinville was shellacked 20-5 by Westgate in a non-district game.

There were no reports on the SM-Opelousas game or the Cecilia-Northside contest.
