St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Andrew “Tuffy” Camacho, 54, who died Monday, June 4, 2012, in New Iberia.

Entombment will follow in the All Saints Cemetery in Loreauville.

Msgr. J. Douglas Courville will be the Celebrant. Allison Camacho Breaux and Mike Vercher will proclaim the readings. Gift Bearers include Gabriel Hebert, Jordan McNeese, Bayllie Breaux, Brittney Breaux, Brooklyn Breaux and Mickinzie Camacho.

A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday, June 6, from 8 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd., New Iberia, 337-365-3331.

A rosary was prayed at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Born on December 12, 1957, Mr. Camacho was a 1976 graduate of New Iberia Senior High and had worked in the oilfield for over 34 years. An avid LSU fan, his hobbies included gardening and carpentry.

He is survived by his wife, his everything, Michelle Davey Camacho of Loreauville; mother, Celia T. Camacho of New Iberia; daughters, Allison Camacho Breaux and husband David of New Iberia, Aimee C. Hebert and husband Ryan of New Iberia, and Amanda C. Schouest of Loreauville; sons, Michael D. Schouest III of Lafayette, Jude M. Camacho of New Iberia, Nicolas Schouest and wife Lauren of New Iberia, Steven A. Camacho of St. Martinville and Avery J. Camacho of New Iberia; brothers, Michael Camacho and wife Lisa of New Iberia, Eugene Camacho and wife Sally of Breaux Bridge, Paul Camacho Jr., of New Iberia, Daniel Camacho of New Iberia, and Lupe Camacho and wife Polly of New Iberia; sisters, Rebecca Vercher and husband Mike of Mandeville, Ann Patout and husband David of New Iberia, Gloria Bourque and husband Terry of New Iberia, Elizabeth Romero and husband Rusty of New Iberia, Anna Broussard and husband William of New Iberia, and Juanita Escuriex and husband Gervais of Branch; mother-in-law, Ada Lancon Davey of New Iberia; and 12 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul R. Camacho; brothers, Lee Roy Camacho and Chris Camacho; and his father-in-law, Charles Davey.

Pallbearers will be Michael P. Schouest III, Steven A. Camacho, Jude M. Camacho, Avery J. Camacho, Nicolas J. Schouest and Mike Vercher.

Honorary pallbearers include David Breaux, Ryan Hebert, Brennon Schouest, Noah Delcambre, Jude Camacho Jr., Kole Schouest, Andrew Thomas Camacho, Cory Camacho and Romell Brooks.
