Dorothy Savoy Robertson

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Dorothy Robertson, 91, who entered eternal life on April 21, 2024.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in St. Martinville on Thursday from 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. 

Father Aberlado Gabriel S.V.D will officiate at the funeral mass.

Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery. 

Dorothy was born on June 24, 1932 in Saint Martinville. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Josephine Savoy. Dorothy was a loving daughter, sister, wife, aunt, second mom and friend.

Dorothy spent much of her life as a caregiver which she loved.

Dorothy has a strong devotion to Our Lord, Our God through her Catholic faith, which was the foundation for her spiritual growth.

She is survived by her sister, Lillie M. Washington and a host of nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Janice Robertson; parents, Francis and Josephine Savoy; sisters, Agnes Mallery and Alberta Fournette; brothers, Walter Savoy and Wilmer Savoy.

Pallbearers will be Glen Washington, Amos Washington, Javon Turpeau, Jaylen Turpeau, Kevin Washington and Robert Wahington  Jr.
