Allen Boudreaux Sr.

New Iberia - A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Louisiana Funeral Services and Crematory, 108 Hardware Rd, Broussard, LA 70518, honoring the life of Allen Boudreaux, Sr., 90, who passed away on March 21, 2024 after a short illness. 

He was born in New Iberia, LA on October 1, 1933.

Allen played and excelled at the quarterback position in football at St. Martinville Sr. High School in the early 1950’s. He received the nickname “Mouse” due to his great abilities to evade defensive players. He also excelled at baseball, basketball and track. 

His great passion in life was cooking. Allen worked in culinary arts as a Maître D and Chef in New Orleans at the restaurants Commander’s Palace, Antoines, Galatoire’s, Kolbs, and the Ponchartrain Hotel. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Ambrose Boudreaux; mother, Genevieve Clement Beadle; stepfather, Holden Beadle; his former wife, Jeanette Vincent; and one infant son. 

He is survived by his daughter, Debra Boudreaux Thomas and husband Daniel of Parks, LA; son, Allen Boudreaux, Jr. and wife Linda of St. Martinville, LA; son, Timothy Boudreaux and wife Daphne of Surprise, Arizona; daughter, Monique Boudreaux Dabog and husband Ken of New Orleans, LA; 10 grand children, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of Acadiana and New Iberia Manor North.

Allen will be interred at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville, LA at a later date.
