LAFAYETTE – The Northside Vikings led from start to finish as the Lafayette team celebrated its homecoming with a 41-7 trouncing of the St. Martinville Tigers here last Friday.

CROWLEY – After suffering a 12-0 shutout loss to Breaux Bridge the previous week, Cecilia’s offense got cranking against Crowley on Friday, breaking the 40 point mark for the second time in three games while cruising to a 40-13 win over the Gents.

PORT BARRE – Wildlife agents cited a St. Landry Parish man on Sept. 15 for taking squirrels during closed season near Port Barre.
The fall squirrel season is set to open Oct. 4.
