Breaux Bridge – The City Council on March 9 held off approving two new street names until the names – Lillian Mitchell and Rue Simon – could be added to the official plat of Simon Estates.

ST. MARTINVILLE - St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office investigators have arrested three persons for failure to register or notify as a sex offender.

Breaux Bridge -- Police Chief Charlie Thibodeaux warned citizens Tuesday night to lock their cars and stow their lawnmowers.

St. Martinville – Zane Viator, 23, New Iberia, was serving time in the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on charges of Theft and Second Degree Battery which were originated in Iberia Parish.

New Iberia – St. Martinville native Jeff Landry, a Republican, has officially launched his candidacy for the 3rd Congressional District seat being vacated by Democrat Charlie Melancon.

Breaux Bridge – Kelli Cantu’s senior project, “High Hopes,” and Camille Chaisson’s project, “Be a Saint and Celebrate,” are both fund-raisers at Breaux Bridge High School (BBHS), to benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
