Demolition of the Jan Theatre begins

One of Ville Platte’s landmarks will begin to disappear as demolition begins on the Jan Theatre on Main Street. Demolition began Friday afternoon, January 2. Workers have asked sightseers to stay away from the area because of the dangers involved in a demolition project.

Project WILD Teacher Workshop planned January 31, at Chicot State Park

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and the Office of State Parks is offering a Project WILD workshop Saturday, January 31, at Chicot State Park from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
