To find out what a Breaux Bridge trailhead and Bayou Teche paddle trail are all about, come to the library on Monday
Breaux Bridge – The TECHE Project will be hosting a question/answer session for Breaux Bridge residents on Monday, Aug. 26, 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the St. Martin Parish Library branch here.
Discussion will include the next steps for developing the Bayou Teche Paddle Trail/Atakapa-Ishak Joint Use Trailhead in Parc des Ponts.
The library is located at 102 Courthouse St., across N. Main Street from St. Bernard Church.
The TECHE Project is collaborating with the Metropolitan Planning Organization to develop a trailhead that will serve these low-impact recreation trails. Together, they have been provisionally awarded two grants from the Louisiana Recreational Trails Program and will be working with the stakeholders in Breaux Bridge to build a trailhead that benefits the town and the trail users.
Anyone interested in learning more about this project is encouraged to attend the question-and-answer session
