Verlie Brasseaux Angelle

Cecilia – Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., on Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Verlie Brasseaux Angelle, 68, who passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Interment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Verlie was a hero to her children. She was both mom and dad to her children. She worked hard every day to be sure that her children knew they were loved. When her children became adults her focus changed, her grandchildren became her life. Her grandchildren were the reason she fought to make it through another day. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her sons, Jeremy Angelle and Troy Angelle, both of Cecilia; her daughters, Dana M. Huval, Lisa Huval Hebert and her husband Kim, Christine Huval Dugas and her husband Kevin, and Michelle L. Angelle, all of Cecilia; her sisters, Joyce Clause of Arnaudville, Shirley Robin of Leonville and Margie LeBlanc of Breaux Bridge; her grandchildren, Jarrod Hebert, Jenna Hebert, Braegan Huval and Jerran Angelle.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Lloyd Huval; her second husband, Edgar Angelle; her parents, Dewey and Clothilde Knott Brasseaux; and her sister, LeAnna Sanders.
A rosary was recited at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
The family would like to extend a special “Thanks” to Dr. Malek and his staff, the 6th floor at Lafayette General and Louisiana Extended Care Hospital.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia was in charge of arrangements.
