TWO ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE DRUG CHARGES
ST. MARTINVILLE -- On July 02, 2009, agents with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant on Landry St. in Breaux Bridge, La. As a result of the search, agents located approximately 593 grams of cocaine and 949 grams of marijuana. Agents also located materials used in the manufacturing of "crack cocaine" as well as $4,228.00 in currency.
Joseph Ray Jean-Batiste, age 32, was arrested and charged with Possession With Intent to Distribute Schedule II C.D.S. (Cocaine) (over 400 grams), Manufacturing of Cocaine or Cocaine Base, Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I C.D.S. (Marijuana) (over 400 grams), Possession of Schedule IV C.D.S.(Xanax), Possession of Schedule I C.D.S. (M.D.M.A.), Resisting an Officer, Battery on a Police Officer.
Jonathon J. Mouton, age 30, Lafayette, was arrested and charged with Possession With Intent to Distribute Schedule II C.D.S. (Cocaine) (over 400 grams), Manufacturing of Cocaine or Cocaine Base, Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I C.D.S. (Marijuana) (over 400 grams).
Both were booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the above charges.
