Breaux Bridge City Councilmen Glenn Angelle (left) and Gary “Bimmie” Champagne (right) share the gavel with Mayor Jack Dale Delhomme as mayor pro tem for 2010.

Champagne will take the first six months and Angelle will serve in the second half.

We could use a little more information here, don't you think?

Is Jack Dale leaving?

Why will there be a Pro Tem mayor for 2010?

This is an interesting story as far as it goes, but we could certainly
know more.

Mayor pro tem is a standard office for most mayor-led municipalities. They preside over council meetings in the absence of the mayor.
