Lady ’Dogs take a bite out of Lady Rebels

Cecilia’s Lady Bulldogs improved their district record to 8-1 last week with easy wins over Teurlings Catholic and Breaux Bridge.

Cecilia rolled over the Lady Rebels by 61-46 on Jan. 26 and then overwhelmed Breaux Bridge on Friday, taking a 61-31 victory.

Natasha Wiltz paced the Lacy ’Dogs in both wins with 18 points against Teurlings and 24 against the Lady Tigers.

The back-to-back wins boosted Cecilia’s record to 17-10 overall and a fine 8-1 in league play.
St. Martinville dropped two games last week, falling to Northside and Teurlings as The ’Ville’s record slipped to 8-13, 1-8.

There was no report on the BB-Beau Chene game played on Jan. 26, but the Lady Tigers’s Friday night loss to Cecilia left BB with an 8-15, 3-5 record.

Regular season action is winding to a close, with St. Martinville wrapping up its schedule next Tuesday. Cecilia and Breaux Bridge have their last regular season games on Friday, Feb. 12.
