Fatal Crash Claims Life of Breaux Bridge Teen

    ST. MARTINVILLE -- At approximately 4:30 a.m. this morning the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office received a call in reference to a single motor vehicle crash on Bergeron Road in Breaux Bridge, reports SMSO Maj.Ginny Higgins.

    A Dodge Neon, driven by 19-year-old David Lester Jr., of Breaux Bridge, was north-bound on Bergeron Road and for unknown reasons went off the right side of the roadway within the curve and struck a tree. Lester was pronounced dead at the scene.

    There is no further information available at this time in reference to this incident, Maj. Higgins reports.
