Official State Symbol of Louisiana: Fleur-de-lis [9th July 2008]

On July 9th, 2008, Governor Bobby Jindal signed into Louisiana Law that the State's symbol would be the 'lily flower' or, as it has been known in France for ten centuries, the Fleur-de-lis !

What is this flower? What is its significance? What is its political, dynastic, artistic, emblematic, symbolic & religious meaning?

Part III: The 'Royal' Hebrew Prophets: From Amos to Daniel

Dedicated to our Nephew: Adam Joseph Malin

Part II: Most Magnificent Poet-Prophet of the 'Hebrew' People: Second-Isaiah 40-55

To the Religious Community of Louisiana:

Most Powerful & Magnificent Poet-Prophet, 'Second Isaiah' Chapters 40-55

This unknown scholar, of his people's history, has written the highest pitch of religious insight into the nature of deity in the 'cult of Yahweh'; he is the last of the great Prophets in our Hebrew text. He is the greatest prophet of common humanity---it took civilization 25 centuries to penetrate his extraordinary genius. He wrote around 540's, anticipating the Persian triumph over Babylonian military might.

Part II: Sanctus Martinus Turonensis

In this section we want to discuss the 'cloak' motif in our history of St. Martin de Tours. The reason for this is that it is inexcusable that the statue we have of the Saint in St. Martinville does not give prominence to this feature, nor is there a 'beggar' worthy of our aristocratic religio-cultural French system here.

Sanctus Martinus Turonensis: St. Martin de Tours [A.D. 316-397]

Our 'Royal Parish' is named after St. Martin de Tours. It requires a great deal of language competence to recreate this extraordinary personality. His impact on France and Europe, and, especially, the Roman Catholic Church can not be under-estimated.

Qoheleth [Ecclesiastes]: First & Greatest Jewish Philosopher c. 250 BCE

In this last treatise to be admitted into the Hebrew canon, Ecclesiastes, around the First Century ACE [After the Common Era], written around 250 BCE [Before the Common Era], we have the scholarship of a profound philosopher. It has been mired and disfigured by the scribal tradition with Aramaisms, glosses and ignorant corrections.

After four centuries of French Biblical and Oriental scholarship, it is now possible to restore the text to its original composition as this great philosopher wrote it.

Part II: Why 'Two' Editions of Ten Commandments?

Having given the background of the four root documents of Yahwism by our ancient scribes [copyists, editors & redactors], we observe that our Decalogue [Greek, "Ten Words"] was published in two versions: our Elohist document [Eighth Century in Northern Kingdom or Israel] and our late Priestly document [Fifth or early Fourth Century during the Great Exile in Babylon or a little after Cyrus the Great's generous liberation of the Jews by his 538 BCE [Before the Common Era] Edict. In short, it is in Exodus and Deuteronomy in our Hebrew corpus.

Why are their Two Ten Commandments in Our Hebrew Corpus?

To the Religious Citzens of Our Royal Parish, St. Martin de Tours:

It requires the greatest scholarship to answer correctly the most simple questions that can be formulated by a curious mind.

Here attention to the material artifacts of archeology and the written documentation of ancient texts studied by philologists (ancient language scholars) must meet sympathetically in the mind of a generous historian who has poured over these artifacts and texts for more than 30,000 hours [the expertise requires such time units] to formulate a meaningful answer to this simple question.

Education & Technology: Our Business Plans for St. Martin Parish

To the Business Community of St. Martin Parish:

We brothers are on target with the needs of the new economic system unfolding at the national level by the Obama Administration. We still have to get our State government where it should be.
