Kassi Berard of Breaux Bridge was selected the 2016 Outstanding Young Farm Woman at the 94th Annual Louisiana Farm Bureau Convention here last month. This award is presented to a woman agriculture producer who promotes leadership and the continuation of the family farm in Louisiana.
All retail Cleco customers will see lower energy bills beginning July 1, thanks to a one-time credit of approximately $475 per customer account. The Louisiana Public Service Commission (LPSC) ordered the credit as part of a set of commitments the new owners agreed upon to acquire the company.
Two adages came to mind as I kept noticing weather reports while I was looking for something else in some old newspapers. The first is, “If you don’t like Louisiana weather, just wait a bit and it will change.” The second is, “Be careful what you pray for.”
